Our programmes

Three programmes, one consistent method

Every Famora programme performs the same kind of work — sorting, labelling, indexing, writing — at a scope that matches what the household actually needs. The programme you choose depends on how many documents there are, how many households are involved, and how much time you want to spend.

How we work

The method behind every programme

All three programmes follow the same underlying method. Before a session begins, the coordinator and the household agree on what will be covered. During the session, the coordinator sorts that category with whoever in the household knows where things are, labelling what belongs, setting aside what does not, and noting anything that appears to be missing or duplicated.

At the end of each session, the coordinator writes a summary or updates the programme's running document. The household receives everything in writing. Nothing is done from memory and nothing relies on the coordinator's continued involvement to remain useful.

1

Agree scope in writing

Category or categories to be covered, session schedule, expected deliverables.

2

Sort and label

Physical and digital separation, consistent labels applied, duplicates noted.

3

Write the output

Summary, gap list, index or orientation document produced in plain language.

4

Hand over and note open points

Everything goes to the household. Anything outside our scope is noted in the open-questions register.

One category of household documents sorted and labelled in a folder

Programme 01

Single-Category Records Session

A two-hour session covering one category of family paperwork. Most households start with civil and identification records, or with property and tenancy papers. The coordinator sorts that category with you, labels it, notes duplicates and gaps, and writes a one-page summary you keep. It is intentionally small in scope so a household can see how the work feels before deciding whether to continue.

Many families find one category is all they wanted. That is a complete and satisfactory outcome.

  • Labelled folder set for the covered category
  • One-page category summary you keep
  • Gap and duplicate list
  • Reusable labelling template to apply the method yourself

Programme 02

Two-Household Coordination Programme

A six-week programme for related households that keep overlapping paperwork — adult siblings supporting a parent, or two homes sharing property and utility records. The coordinator meets each household separately to inventory what it holds, then brings both to one shared naming convention, one shared digital index on storage the families own, and one written orientation document readable from either side.

Sessions are administrative and structured. The coordinator organises papers and writes maps, and does not mediate, counsel, or comment on any matter that belongs with a qualified professional.

  • Two separate household inventories
  • Shared naming convention for both households
  • Shared digital index on family-owned storage
  • Orientation document readable from either side
  • Open-questions register and closing walkthrough

Programme 03

Multi-Generation Archive Programme

A four-month programme for families holding decades of paper across several homes. The coordinator inventories every container, separates active from archive, scans and indexes the whole digital set onto family-owned storage, rebuilds each physical set with consistent labels, and writes a full orientation document explaining the arrangement to a reader who knows nothing about it.

Three walkthrough sessions distribute the knowledge. A written register collects every open point for a qualified professional. The programme performs sorting, scanning, indexing, labelling and writing — nothing else.

  • Full inventories of every container
  • Scanned and indexed digital archive on family-owned storage
  • Labelled physical sets rebuilt with consistent standards
  • Full orientation document in plain language
  • Open-questions register, review calendar, three walkthroughs

Not sure which to choose

Describe your household and we will help you choose

A brief message about what you are hoping to sort — how many boxes, how many homes, roughly how many years of paper — is enough for us to suggest the most appropriate starting point.
