About Famora

A small team doing one thing carefully

We help families in Johor Bahru bring order to household paperwork — sorting, labelling, indexing — at a pace that suits the people in the room.

Our story

How Famora came to be

Famora started in Johor Bahru after the founder spent several months helping an elderly relative sort through decades of accumulated household papers — IC copies, property grants, utility agreements, and faded letters — spread across three homes and four filing boxes.

What became clear during that process was that the difficulty was not the paperwork itself. It was the absence of a shared system — a way for every family member to know where things were and what was still needed. The problem was administrative, not legal or financial. And it was one that a coordinated, patient approach could address without any regulated professional input.

Famora was set up in 2022 to offer exactly that: structured administrative sessions for households that want to bring order to their records without being rushed or handed advice they did not ask for.

Mission

To give families in Malaysia a calm, well-structured way to organise the paperwork that holds a household together — without pressure, without advice on regulated matters, and without taking anything out of their hands.

Approach

We do administrative work: sorting, labelling, scanning, indexing and writing summaries. Everything we produce stays with the family. We do not comment on the content of documents or suggest any course of action on regulated matters.

Location

We are based at 44 Jalan Wong Ah Fook, 80000 Johor Bahru, Johor. Sessions take place at the household's location, or at our office by arrangement.

The people

A small team, consistent from session to session

LH

Lim Hui Shan

Lead Coordinator

Hui Shan has spent eight years working in document and records administration across public and private sector settings in Johor. She leads all client sessions and writes the orientation documents that close each programme.

AR

Ahmad Rizwan

Indexing Specialist

Rizwan manages the digital indexing and scanning work across multi-session programmes. He builds and maintains the naming conventions that allow families to find any document without relying on memory.

SC

Siti Rahimah Che Wan

Client Liaison

Siti handles first enquiries, session scheduling and the open-questions register that tracks anything a family needs to take to a qualified professional. She coordinates all multi-household programmes from start to close.

How we work

Standards we hold ourselves to

Documents stay with your family

Nothing is removed from the household. Digital files go onto storage you provide and control. We retain no copies after a session.

Defined scope before each session

Every session has an agreed scope set out in writing before it begins. Nothing is added to that scope during a session without your agreement.

No interpretation of content

We label and organise. We do not read documents for meaning, comment on legal or financial content, or suggest what any document means for your situation.

Written output from every session

Each session closes with a written summary or gap list. You have something tangible to refer back to regardless of whether further sessions follow.

Personal data handled with care

Any personal information shared with us for scheduling purposes is used only for that purpose and held in accordance with Malaysian data protection requirements.

Referral to qualified professionals

When a document or matter falls outside administrative work, we note it in your open-questions register and invite you to consult the appropriate professional.

What we are

Administrative coordination, nothing more

Famora offers records organisation and document coordination as a household administration service. The work we do is sorting, labelling, scanning and writing summaries — activities that require care and method, but no professional licence.

We are not a legal service, a financial advisory, a conveyancing firm, or a counselling practice. Families who work with us are free to — and in many cases do — consult such professionals separately. Our role is to make the paperwork legible and accessible before, during, or after those consultations.

Who comes to us

Households at a transition point

Most families contact Famora when something has changed: a household is consolidating after a bereavement, adult siblings are helping a parent whose paperwork has grown unmanageable, or a couple realises they cannot locate documents they know they have.

The work is quieter than it might sound. Two hours spent sorting one category of papers tends to produce more clarity than months of meaning to get around to it. Many families stop at one session, satisfied. Others continue. Both outcomes are what the service is for.
